White Ribbon Day – Australia’s campaign to prevent men’s violence against women

Today is White Ribbon Day and International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Tomorrow Australian of the Year Rosie Batty will address both Houses of the Victorian Parliament about family violence.

She is going to call on them to implement all the recommendations from the Coronial Inquest into her 11 year-old son Luke’s death, killed by his father in violent circumstances in 2013.

I just signed a petition to back her up. Will you sign the petition too?

It only takes a minute: http://www.neveralone.com.au/inquest_petition?recruiter_id=43863

The inquest recommendations provide an urgent roadmap for transforming the safety, justice and survival of children and women enduring family violence and for perpetrator accountability.

They will deeply impact almost every part of our family violence system – from police, child protection, perpetrator accountability, risk assessment, family law, courts, specialist family violence services and law reform.
